Remember The World This Week on Doordarshan. The programme was produced by New Delhi Television (NDTV). From producing news-based programmes for Doordarshan to a group of news channels should make interesting reading, if ever Prannoy Roy decides to pen its saga.
There are many big players in the news segment today, including Roy’s ex-employee Rajdeep Sardesai’s CCN-IBN. To name just a few of the ever-increasing news channels: Headlines Today, Aaj Tak, Star News, Times Now, NDTV and NDTV Profit.
The list is obscenely small. I will cover the goings on in the news broadcast sector as closely as I can.
